Sampdoria left back, Reto Ziegler, could be back to England for Liverpool. Benitez attracted by Ziegler's versality and his attack mentality so he could be deploy as left winger. Report from Daily Mail, said that Liverpool faces a fierce competition with Juventus to win his signature, and Liverpool has already prepared £8.5 million (Ziegler's price tag). Atletico and Fiorentina have also shown interest on him too.
He firstly impressed at Tottenham as the Young Player of The Year at only 18. Then he moved to Bundesliga in 2005, but he was criticised by Thomas Doll for his poor attitude. Then he been loaned out to Wigan during the 2005-2006 season, yet he didn't showed up some spectacular perfomance. Ziegler returned to Spurs in 2006-2007, and just featured in four games. He then joined Sampdoria on loan in January 2007. Now he claimed his first team place during 2009-2010 in Sampdoria for left back position.
